Landscape Design Central Coast
Landscape design is the framework that shapes how an outdoor space functions, connects, and is ultimately built. It establishes levels, layout, movement through the space, and structure, ensuring each element works together as part of a considered whole.
At Divine Landscape Creations, every project begins with a detailed site analysis led by Director Daniel Shannon. He assesses the entire property, including levels, access, drainage, orientation, existing structures, and environmental conditions, using this information to shape a design that responds to the site while reflecting the client’s goals and the way the space will be built.
Not every project requires a full set of formal plans, however design plays a critical role in every landscape we deliver. In some cases, design is resolved through on-site planning, experience, and close collaboration with the client during construction. Where required, we also provide clear, structured design documentation ranging from simple concept plans through to detailed landscape drawings and 3D visualisations, depending on the scale and complexity of the project.
Our landscape design process is closely aligned with construction. Designs are developed with a clear understanding of build feasibility, materials, and site conditions, allowing ideas to translate seamlessly from planning through to construction. This approach ensures the design intent is carried through accurately on-site.
Our landscape design services are suited to high-end residential projects across the Central Coast, where structure, privacy, and flow are important. Each design supports the creation of refined outdoor spaces that feel considered, intentional, and closely connected to the home. We also offer

Our Landscape Design Service
Our landscape design service combines practical site understanding with construction knowledge to bring clarity, structure, and direction to every outdoor project.
- Site Analysis & Design Direction
Every design begins with a detailed site assessment led by Director Daniel Shannon. Drawing on his experience across construction, landscaping, and outdoor design, Daniel assesses the property as a whole, including levels, access, drainage, orientation, existing structures, and environmental conditions. Throughout this process, the client’s goals, priorities, and overall wish list are carefully considered to ensure the design responds intelligently to both the site and the way the space is intended to be used.
- Layout, Structure & Space Planning
We develop layouts that consider how the space will be used, how areas relate to one another, and how levels and transitions are resolved. This ensures the landscape works naturally with the home and functions effectively as part of the overall property.
- Planting, Materials & Built Elements
Planting selections and material choices are considered as part of the overall structure of the design. This includes hardscape elements such as paving, retaining walls, steps, and feature elements, selected to suit the site, architectural style, and performance requirements.
- Design Development & Visualisation Options
Depending on the project, design documentation may range from simple concept plans through to detailed drawings and 3D visualisations. Where required, we can also prepare fully scaled, detailed landscape drawings suitable for Development Applications (DA) and consultant coordination. The level of documentation is tailored to the scale and complexity of the project, ensuring clarity without unnecessary documentation or cost.
- Collaboration & Design Refinement
Designs are refined through close collaboration with the client, ensuring the final outcome aligns with the vision, site conditions, and construction requirements before progressing to build or council submission.
Do I need a landscape design before starting construction?
In most cases, yes. A landscape design provides structure and clarity before any construction begins, helping to resolve levels, layout, drainage, access, and key features early in the process. This reduces uncertainty during the build and ensures the final outcome is well planned and coordinated.
Do all projects require formal landscape plans?
Not every project requires a full set of formal drawings. Some landscapes are designed through on-site planning and collaboration during construction. Where more detail is required, we can provide anything from simple concept layouts through to fully scaled, detailed plans suitable for council submission or construction.
Can you prepare landscape designs for council or DA approval?
Yes. Where required, we can prepare fully scaled landscape drawings suitable for Development Applications (DA) and consultant coordination. The level of documentation is tailored to the project, ensuring it meets requirements without unnecessary documentation or cost.
